Principal EC&I Engineering Specialist

Position Overview:
As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation design and engineering for various systems. Your expertise will be crucial in producing design documentation and ensuring the quality of work from fellow engineers and designers.
Work Location:
Remote opportunities available, with occasional site visits as required.
Contract Duration:
12-month contract with full-time hours.
Compensation:
Competitive rate, subject to negotiation and compliant with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of EC&I design and engineering for designated systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with construction teams to address technical queries and process deviations.
- Engage with construction and commissioning teams to manage feedback and defect notifications.
- Act as the design representative during site inspections and assessments.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification (mandatory).
- Degree-level education is preferred.
- Proven experience in nuclear EC&I design within a similar environment, with recent exposure to the nuclear sector.
- Self-motivated individual with strong communication, analytical, and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in leading engineering project deliveries.
- Familiarity with EC&I deliverables and documentation.
- Ability to produce high-quality written work, including technical specifications and reports.
- Pragmatic approach to applying relevant standards and practices.
- Experience in evaluating design integrity concerning process, rigor, and functionality.
- Collaborative experience with client organizations to enhance design assurance.
- Proficient in facilitating and leading meetings.
Design Tools and Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams, and SharePoint. Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and PDMS viewer is advantageous.
