About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Editor to join our team in either our London or Madrid office. As a Commissioning Editor, you will be responsible for commissioning and developing high-quality ELT content, from concept development through to publication, in line with our publishing plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and develop ELT content, working closely with authors, contributors, and stakeholders to ensure quality and profitability.
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with the Publisher, Product, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure publishing meets the needs of our key audience.
  • Manage performance, training, and development of staff, working closely with the Content Development Manager and the Learning and Development Team.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of English language teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable ELT publishing experience at project leadership level.
  • Excellent written English and a formal ELT/TEFL qualification.
  • Understanding of publishing technologies and a working understanding of content management systems.
  • Knowledge of a second language is desirable.
