Key Responsibilities:- Site Setup and Coordination: Establish and manage site offices, canteens, and welfare arrangements to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Method Statement Development: Create and implement method statements for temporary site arrangements, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all construction phase health and safety plans are followed, and temporary site arrangements are compliant with regulations.
- Roofing System Installation: Supervise the installation of roofing systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer instructions and specifications.
- Quality Control: Verify that materials and labor are on site according to program requirements, ensuring high-quality work.
- Safety Protocols: Establish and maintain a safe system of work for roofing activities and scaffolding, providing necessary safety equipment.
- Variation Management: Inform the Contract Manager or Senior Structural Engineer of any changes in roofing or associated areas, ensuring agreed variations are implemented.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Monitor and check the day-to-day work of roof workers and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Reporting and Compliance: Compile daily diaries and weekly photographic reports, ensuring compliance with safety responsibility statements.
- Staff Management: Supervise 4-6 direct reports from the Contract Manager, reviewing and signing off operatives' time sheets.
Role Requirements:
- CSCS certification
- HNC in Build or equivalent NVQ Level
- Knowledge of roofing products
- CITB SMSTS Certificate
- First Aid at work
- Asbestos Awareness Training
- Work at Height Trained
- Scaffold Awareness
- Full Driving Licence
- 5 years of roofing expertise in all aspects of roof infrastructure works, including flat, pitched, associated works, and specialist roofing systems, and site and personnel management.
