Position Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for three Quality Assurance Specialists to join our team for an extended engagement. Candidates should possess a solid background in Receiving Inspection and be proficient in Microsoft applications, with the capability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.

Experience in drafting comprehensive reports, such as Non-Conformance Reports, is a plus.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work on a shift basis to support certification reviews and visual inspection tasks, while being fully trained in all facets of the Quality Assurance Specialist role.
  • Provide coverage for shifts during absences, including holidays and sickness, often with little notice.
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, addressing a variety of Quality Assurance-related matters.
  • Collaborating with various departments on all Quality Assurance-related activities and issues.
  • Engaging with clients, third-party representatives, and certifying authorities as necessary.
  • Offering technical assistance and training to process inspectors within work centers.
  • Developing and updating Quality Assurance procedures and associated documentation.
  • Assisting in the analysis of failures.
  • Conducting Receiving Inspections and completing relevant documentation.
  • Managing the administration, approval, and verification of inspections.
  • Validating dimensional and inspection reports to ensure product compliance.
  • Ensuring proper identification and traceability of products and materials throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Composing detailed reports as required.
  • Generating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in line with established procedures.
  • Performing random checks and audits of inspection activities and laboratory tests to support shifts.
  • Carrying out calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
  • Inspecting and approving samples as necessary.
  • Actively engaging in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Providing technical support to work centers and projects regarding Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks as directed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
  • This role does not include supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • ONC/HNC from an accredited institution or significant experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing context.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Familiarity with ISO/API Quality Systems, quality practices, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to address common inquiries from management effectively.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety regulations, operational instructions, procedure manuals, and detailed schematics.
  • Competent in all aspects of process inspection activities.
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Goods Receiving Inspection Systems and/or supplier certification is advantageous.

SHIFT PATTERN:
The shift pattern for workers follows a 4-shift rotation (Days and Nights), repeating every four weeks.
COMPENSATION:
Competitive hourly rate, with additional shift allowances.
