Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Development Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with external organizations, identifying and promoting courses to learners and learner referral sources, and engaging with potential learners to provide them with accurate information, advice, and guidance. The role also involves carrying out initial assessment activities, identifying individual learner support requirements, and communicating with relevant colleagues. Additionally, the Business Development Officer will be responsible for maintaining learner tracking details, communicating with tutors and assessors, and supporting the tracking of learners upon completion into a positive destination for a period of 26 weeks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar engagement role, preferably in the education sector, and possess excellent communication skills, a good track record of customer service, and the ability to work independently and be self-motivated. The role also requires the ability to travel within the region and have access to a car. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external organizations
- Identify and promote courses to learners and learner referral sources
- Engage with potential learners to provide accurate information, advice, and guidance
- Carry out initial assessment activities and identify individual learner support requirements
- Maintain learner tracking details and communicate with tutors and assessors
- Support the tracking of learners upon completion into a positive destination for 26 weeks
- Identify employers with employment, apprenticeship, or placement opportunities and develop good working relationships
- Engage with local employment partnership groups to promote services and identify employment opportunities
- Respond to client enquiries and provide support to their requirements
- Attend promotions days at client premises and promote services to potential customers/learners
- Attend careers events to promote Learning Curve Group
- Accurately complete all recruitment documentation
- Conduct the role in line with company values and expected behaviors
- Comply with Safeguarding, Prevent, and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Provide learners, customers, and colleagues with support, advice, and guidance
- Promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the company
Requirements
- Experience in a similar engagement role, preferably in the education sector
- Excellent communication skills
- Good track record of customer service
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Ability to travel within the region and have access to a car
- GCSE or equivalent Maths and English qualifications
