We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging and dynamic environment, providing clinical leadership and support to our inpatient team.

As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the manager in the provision of clinical leadership and acting on their behalf in their absence. You will also be responsible for providing quality evidence-based nursing advice, support, and care for service users with mental health needs and their carers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to the inpatient team
  • Act on behalf of the manager in their absence
  • Provide quality evidence-based nursing advice, support, and care for service users
  • Work in conjunction with Matron to set, maintain, and audit clinical standards

Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid PIN
  • Previous experience of directly managing others
  • Experience of working in an acute or forensic setting
