Position: Therapeutic Support Specialist

Location: North West Region

Compensation: Up to £53,200 (pro-rata) based on experience, plus a £2,000 Training and Development allowance

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Employment Type: Permanent, Term Time only, 41 weeks

We are in search of a dedicated Therapeutic Support Specialist to become part of our clinical team at a specialized educational facility in the North West. You will work collaboratively to develop tailored assessment and intervention strategies for our students facing developmental challenges, including trauma, autism, ADHD, and complex social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Role Overview

Your role will involve applying a comprehensive, therapeutic approach to assist our students in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being. You will be responsible for all aspects of clinical duties, including conducting individual assessments, implementing interventions, and preparing necessary documentation, such as reports. Additionally, you will provide guidance and training to staff, commissioners, and other relevant agencies as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Recognized and relevant degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current and valid HCPC registration
  • Qualification in sensory integration
  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Experience in an educational setting is advantageous
