Overview

We are seeking a Project Administrator to support the Freshwater Renaissance initiative on a fixed-term contract.

As a member of the Land and Nature team, you will engage in various innovative projects aimed at restoring ecosystems and enhancing public engagement with nature. This dynamic and collaborative environment is dedicated to implementing nature-based strategies to address critical challenges such as climate change and biodiversity decline.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective execution of the programme, contributing significantly to our goals for the environment and community.

This position is funded through a partnership with various environmental organizations.

*This role is full-time, with options for flexible part-time arrangements equivalent to 30 hours per week.*

Your primary workplace will be our headquarters, with expectations for in-office attendance. However, there is flexibility regarding your location at other times, with a requirement to work at various project sites for a portion of your week.



Key Responsibilities

You will deliver comprehensive administrative support to the Freshwater Renaissance Programme. Your tasks will include organizing meetings and workshops, utilizing various software tools to generate reports, maintaining accurate records, and crafting engaging internal communications to keep the team informed.

Proficient in managing financial data, you will assist the Project Manager in monitoring budgets and preparing funding claims. Your organizational skills will make you the essential point of contact for your team.

Adaptability is crucial, as you will need to respond to the evolving needs of the project and its stakeholders. You will work with both internal systems and those of external partners, seeking opportunities to enhance processes and information management within the team.



Candidate Profile

  • Experience in managing grant-funded projects, including budget oversight and claims processing.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and processes relevant to the organization.
  • Proven track record in supporting projects, with knowledge of reporting protocols.
  • Strong administrative skills, including meeting coordination and record-keeping.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in IT, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
