Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality specialist clinical assessments and treatment plans for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist clinical assessments, including psychiatric and physical investigations, to children and young people in a range of settings.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to plan and deliver individually tailored treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development of a safe, effective, and caring service for children and young people.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist with our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to a range of resources and training opportunities. You will also be part of a Trust-wide consultant network, allowing you to liaise with colleagues across the Trust and develop peer networks.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:
- MBBS qualification
- Entry onto the specialist register or achievable within 6 months
- AC status or achievable within 3 months
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent clinical skills using a biopsychosocial perspective and wider medical knowledge
