About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical assessments and treatment plans for children and young people with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including psychiatric and physical investigations, to inform treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide specialist clinical advice and guidance to colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the evaluation of service effectiveness.

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Entry onto the specialist register or within 6 months of appointment.
  • AC status or achievable within 3 months.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent clinical skills using a biopsychosocial perspective and wider medical knowledge.
