We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Aspirations Care Ltd. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals recovering from mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals in crisis, promoting a safe and secure environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, encouraging active participation in their recovery journey.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and person-centred approach to support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised support plans, promoting independence and empowerment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health support.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health conditions, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, prioritising the needs of service users.
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation and policies, with a commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
  • DBS clearance and ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
