Job Description:

About the Role:

HSB Technical Ltd, a specialist recruiter in the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy, and Aerospace sectors, is seeking a skilled Proposal Specialist to join their team. As a Proposal Specialist, you will play a crucial role in competing for projects and contracts at national and international levels, working on large, complex, and long-term projects with international donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in writing and coordinating company tenders, bids, and proposals.
  • Identify, monitor, and share public tender opportunities internally.
  • Support Project Managers in managing and delivering proposals.
  • Handle registrations on procurement systems and update company profiles.
  • Develop, manage, and submit proposals while ensuring compliance with our internal quality assurance management system.
  • Manage MEP Peterson mailboxes for tender opportunities.
  • Coordinate with staff and the MEP Technical Oversight Team during proposal reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Oversight Team to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Assist the Technical Oversight Team in producing operational reports.
  • Support the Office Manager in maintaining and developing proposal databases, such as lead trackers, Smart Sheets, Teamwork, and CV and reference databases.
  • Maintain relationships with clients and international implementing agencies.
  • Provide assistance with broader operational tasks as required by your line manager.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple priorities, projects, and outputs to tight deadlines.
  • Qualifications related to marine, fisheries, aquaculture, sustainability, biology, science.
  • Project Management (e.g. CDM) qualifications (desirable).
  • Bid/tender courses.
  • Experience with competitive and time-sensitive tender/bid/proposal writing.
  • Strong relationship builder.
  • Excellent eye for detail for bids/tenders.
