Position Overview

Financial Operations Specialist

Salary range: £45K - £55K for a permanent role. This is a newly established position with significant long-term potential, including opportunities for equity participation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly bank reconciliations and maintain communication with banking institutions.
  • Manage monthly payroll for staff and oversee pension submissions.
  • Handle weekly payroll for contractors along with pension submissions.
  • Ensure timely submissions and payments to HMRC (CIS, PAYE & NIC, VAT).
  • Oversee petty cash management.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT data for group submission to accountants, including review and payment processes.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process and manage supplier invoice payments.
  • Generate sales invoices and manage associated credit control activities.

In addition to standard accounting responsibilities, the company seeks an individual capable of conducting business analysis to support growth and enhance profitability. You will collaborate closely with the business owner.

Essential Qualifications:

· Relevant accountancy qualification (part-qualified candidates will be considered).

· Demonstrated experience in accounting or a related role with a solid understanding of financial accounting principles.

· Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or Sage.

· Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.

· Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
