Key Responsibilities
To perform quality assessments of machined parts sourced both internally and externally to guarantee dimensional precision and maintain process integrity, as well as to develop, implement, and operate CNC CMM programs. Create programs for a CNC Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) utilizing PC-DMIS, including setup and operation.
Core Duties
  • Execute initial and final evaluations of produced components using CMM, portable measuring devices, gauges, micrometers, etc.
  • Ensure that initial machined parts, completed components, and those requiring external processing are produced within specified tolerances and adhere to the technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with the design team to confirm that all revisions are up-to-date and that modifications impacting component production are effectively communicated.
  • Conduct routine inspections to verify that documentation is accurately completed and operator checks are logged.
  • Work alongside the Assembly and Inspection Manager to guarantee that all measuring instruments and gauges are calibrated at appropriate intervals.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure that external treatments are properly dispatched and verified upon return.
  • Fully adhere to and be capable of supporting ISO systems and protocols.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary and deemed suitable.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.

Qualifications/Experience
  • Technical knowledge in precision measurement utilizing a Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), including programming expertise with PC-DMIS.
  • Proven experience as a CMM Specialist/Inspector, ideally with a minimum of 3 years in programming/operating CMMs and conducting inspections in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with various manual inspection tools, such as gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Background in a CNC Machining environment.
  • Ability to effectively interpret and comprehend engineering drawings, technical documents, purchase orders, inspection manuals, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) and First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Strong communication skills, capable of liaising with various departments and external vendors.
  • Ability to stand firm in addressing quality concerns to safeguard the organization.
  • Analytical and inquisitive mindset, consistently seeking clarity.
  • Problem-solving skills with the capacity to make informed decisions supported by facts and rationale.
  • Willingness to take ownership with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
