Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic District Nursing Service in East Dorset. As a Community Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in their own homes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Care for patients at home, requiring nursing care to include diabetes management, complex wound care, IV management, end of life care, injections, and pressure area care.
  • Provide a person-centred approach to care delivery, always considering patients' safety, privacy, and dignity.
  • Undertake assessments of patients' care needs and develop programmes of care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team.
  • Provide advice to patients, service users, and carers regarding their care.
  • Plan, implement, and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.
About the Role

This is a fixed-term role, and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.
