About the Role

Crisis, a national charity dedicated to ending homelessness, is seeking a skilled Media Officer to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a crucial role in securing impactful media coverage that raises awareness of Crisis's influencing campaigns and fundraising events.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy press office environment, PR agency, or as a journalist. They will possess excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging copy for various audiences, including political, consumer, tabloid, trade, and digital media.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of media campaigns that secure quality coverage in national and regional news outlets.
  • Working with case studies to identify and prepare stories for the media, empowering individuals to share their experiences.
  • Creating digital-first coverage and amplifying campaign messages creatively in the digital sphere.
  • Building relationships with key journalists and securing media opportunities.
