Job Role

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining ongoing business operations by supporting existing IT systems and implementing system improvements, while also facilitating the adoption of new and emerging technologies.

Duties
  • Perform day-to-day IT operations, including IT management, configuration, administration, and technical support.
  • Enhance workforce productivity by providing IT training and support.
  • Investigate and explore current and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the adoption of new technologies.
  • Assist in managing hardware and software licensing, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Provide support for cybersecurity tasks, including threat detection and response.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
  • Track and document work activities, compile job reports, and maintain records of support tasks.
  • Follow a continuous improvement process, refining processes, products, and tasks within the role to meet or exceed key performance indicators.
  • Commit to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, leading by example and reporting accidents and near-misses to the line manager.
  • Participate actively in HSEQ training, education, and communication, and be accountable for halting work if it is unsafe or not compliant with company standards.
  • Encourage the team to challenge and improve internal and external processes, procedures, and methodologies to enhance the company's offerings.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, acting as a company representative.
Candidate Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a technical support engineer or in a similar IT role.
  • Certifications: IT-related certifications are advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows, mac OS, Android, and iOS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and Share Point.
  • Ability to administer Teams and Share Point online (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Azure technology stack.
Remuneration

A salary of up to £28 K DOE is offered for this position with additional benefits.
