About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Category Associate to join our team at Wayfair. As a Category Associate, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers, developing strategic plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a large portfolio of suppliers, developing strategic plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Analyze event and category performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Conduct competitive and product category evaluations to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Drive relationships and collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and fill assortment opportunities.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including selection, pricing, and promotions.
About You
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Experience in an analytical or sales-based role is preferred.
  • A strong interest in building a career in buying and/or supplier relationship management is essential.
  • You are a personable and energetic communicator, eager to build relationships with new business partners.
  • You have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once.
  • You are an analytical thinker who looks for answers in data and has a strong interest in retail math concepts.
  • You are a self-starter capable of achieving specific target goals and have an entrepreneurial spirit and mindset.
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Excel and working with data.
