Position: Project Worker for Youth Services

Compensation: £13.12 per hour

Hours: 29 to 37.5 hours per week

Sanctuary Supported Living is proud to announce an opening for a Project Worker dedicated to supporting children and young individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering support to assist young individuals in realizing their full potential and fostering independence.
  • Providing exceptional, person-centered assistance to empower clients in acquiring the skills necessary for independent living, adhering to legislative and regulatory standards.
  • Building professional relationships with clients through effective communication, promoting independence by enhancing daily living skills and social interaction while respecting personal choice and dignity.
  • Guiding clients in understanding and organizing their support services, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes that enhance their autonomy.
  • Offering advocacy support to clients and their families as needed.
  • Collaborating with relevant external organizations to ensure comprehensive support, facilitating clients' integration into the broader community.
  • Implementing safeguarding principles to ensure client safety and mitigate risks to stakeholders and the organization.
  • Promoting safe practices and conducting risk assessments in accordance with legal frameworks and organizational protocols, addressing issues as necessary.
  • Contributing to special initiatives and projects that align with the organization's values and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with vulnerable youth and young adults.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and services relevant to this demographic.
  • Familiarity with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a supportive and accepting attitude towards clients, regardless of their circumstances.
  • Competence in maintaining accurate records and effectively conveying pertinent information.
  • Basic mathematical skills for simple calculations.
  • Proficient in email and internet communication.
