About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Event Manager to join our team at the Scottish Event Campus Ltd. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for leading the event planning and delivery process, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Delivery: Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, venue management, and logistics.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure a consistent approach to safety and compliance throughout event planning and delivery, including build/breakdown arrangements, policies, procedures, security, and traffic management plans.
  • Cost Management: Proactively manage event costs, identifying efficiencies and margin improvements.
  • Event Safety Structures: Collaborate with the event safety and security team and the health & safety team to prepare event safety structures.
  • Incident Response: Participate in incident response training, testing, and exercising.
  • Health and Safety: Identify and resolve health and safety risks associated with event delivery, reporting them in the appropriate manner.
  • Customer Service: Collaborate with the Experience team to ensure customer service is at the forefront of all events.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree in Event Management, Tourism Management, or Business Management.
  • Experience: Significant previous experience in a similar environment.
  • Event Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the event industry.
  • Communication and Customer Management: Excellent communication and customer management skills.
  • Team Player: Proactive team player with outstanding time management, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Flexibility: Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
