Job Title: Recovery Worker

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recovery Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Somerset. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with adults and young people with a history of substance use to achieve their goals and improve outcomes for the whole family.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality support and interventions to the highest risk families, including working with adults and young people to achieve their goals and improve outcomes for the whole family.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and risk management plans for individuals and families.
  • Develop and implement recovery plans, including medically assisted recovery where appropriate.
  • Deliver outreach services, including home visits and key working sessions, to support families through engagement, detoxification, stabilization, and rehabilitation.
  • Contribute to the overall aims and objectives of the Family Safeguarding Team by compiling data and progress reports as directed.
  • Work flexibly across operational sites as required and within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of substance use and the Recovery Agenda.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with adults and young people with a history of substance use.
  • Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery.
  • Experience of working in a busy environment and handling a significant caseload.
  • Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
