Job Title: Recovery Worker

Join Turning Point, a leading provider of substance use services, as a Recovery Worker in our Somerset Family Safeguarding Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive interventions to families affected by substance use, with a focus on reducing harm and promoting healthier lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality support and interventions to families, including adults and young people with a history of substance use.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, incorporating Motivational Interviewing Techniques and medically assisted recovery where appropriate.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and risk management plans to ensure the safety and well-being of families.
  • Deliver outreach services, including home visits, 1-1 key working sessions, and semi-structured groups to support families through engagement, detoxification, stabilization, and rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with the Family Safeguarding Team to achieve contractual output targets and contribute to the overall performance of the service.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role, handling a significant caseload in a busy environment.
  • Deep understanding of substance use and the Recovery Agenda.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work flexibly across operational sites.
  • Vocational qualification, such as an NVQ 3 or equivalent, is desirable.
