Job Title: Outreach Youth Support Worker

About the Role:
  • We are seeking an Outreach Youth Support Worker who can build strong relationships with young people involved in or at risk of the Criminal Justice System, enhancing their life chances.
  • The successful candidate will be able to engage with young people in various settings, including schools, youth clubs, and community spaces, providing support to help them move forward positively.
  • The role requires effective assessment of young people's needs, planning, and implementing innovative interventions to address their behavior and improve outcomes.
  • The successful candidate will work collaboratively with key agencies, such as education, police, social care, and health, to provide a comprehensive support service.
  • They will represent the Integrated Youth Service confidently and competently in various contexts, promoting restorative processes and fostering positive relationships.

Ealing Council is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, and all staff are expected to share this commitment. The post holder will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and Ealing's enhanced vetting process.

This role is customer-facing, and the successful candidate must have a command of spoken English sufficient to effectively perform the role, as per Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.

We currently have one fixed-term position for 18 months. External applicants will be offered a fixed-term contract, and existing Ealing Council employees will be offered the opportunity of a secondment. LBE employees must ensure a secondment release form is signed by their line manager before applying and emailed to us by the application closing date.
