Job Summary:

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Contract Test Equipment Hardware Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating test equipment solutions for power distribution and control programs in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full test systems life cycle, from initial requirements to formal release and support.
  • Develop and implement test equipment hardware for qualification.
  • Execute the requirements, design, implementation, and verification of assigned test systems using sound engineering principles.
  • Act as an engineering interface to the project manager, clearly articulating the technical direction and decisions.
  • Liaise and interface with other functions, such as systems, hardware, programs, manufacturing, sustainment, and other stakeholders.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned test systems and/or tasks.
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.
  • Help coach, mentor, and train less experienced engineers.
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
  • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and engineering issues.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of test system design, development, and hardware/software integration ideally gained in an aviation or similar high-integrity environment.
  • Knowledge of ELMS.
  • Good problem-solving and solution-building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to team, peers, and all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated ability for independent and sound technical judgment, identification of problems, and formulating solutions.

Location: Cheltenham

Rate: £65 - £75 Inside IR35

Contractors Required: x1

Duration: 12 Months
