Job Title: HR Manager and Compliance Officer

About the Role:

As the HR Manager and Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the organization adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements. This includes managing the recruitment process, ensuring compliance with employment law, and maintaining accurate HR records. You will also work closely with the leadership team to deliver a comprehensive HR strategy while maintaining compliance with data protection and safeguarding policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and policy compliance.
  • Administer the Single Central Register (SCR) and oversee the safer recruitment process.
  • Advise senior management on regulatory compliance and employment law.
  • Conduct staff inductions, exit interviews, and probationary reviews.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and act as the point of contact for data protection issues.
  • Oversee health and safety, and employee welfare, including managing sickness absence and occupational health referrals.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be CIPD Level 5 qualified with proven experience in leading HR functions. Strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and previous experience in education is essential. Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, alongside excellent IT skills, will be required.
