Role Summary

We are seeking a Financial Strategy Partner to collaborate with key internal stakeholders in driving financial performance and achieving budgetary goals.

This role involves conducting thorough analyses and providing insights to help stakeholders comprehend the financial implications of their commercial choices. Additionally, the position will support financial planning and forecasting efforts.

Working within a matrix structure alongside our Commercial and Procurement teams, the Financial Strategy Partner will provide financial guidance to two UK Directors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating the profitability of our primary customers and product lines, contributing to product costing and sourcing assessments.
  • Generate weekly trading reports and performance analyses by customer and product category, identifying key trends and communicating recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead the budgeting process in close collaboration with the CFO.
  • Engage in scenario modeling, support customer presentations, and assist the central finance team with month-end accounting tasks.
  • Take a proactive role in our Digital Transformation initiatives, requiring advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Ability to design, create, and interpret complex data sets, presenting findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial and business data, transforming it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize competing demands.
  • Effective communication skills to navigate diverse personalities and viewpoints.
  • Commercial awareness to influence strategic decision-making within the organization.
