Position Overview:
Due to our ongoing success in managing a variety of projects within our expanding portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Architect interested in transitioning into a Bid Manager role.
This position requires an architectural skill set to enhance our bid and tender management process, ensuring robust technical quality assurance and architectural comprehension. We understand that these skills may not always overlap, and we are willing to provide training and development for the right candidate.
We welcome applications from Architects eager to step into a Bid Management role and enhance their expertise in this area, as well as from current Bid Managers with backgrounds in Architecture or Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze tender documentation and spearhead the creation of tender proposals.
- Review and ensure quality control of technical sections of tenders using architectural insights.
- Conduct research to grasp project scope, objectives, and limitations.
- Compile a comprehensive list of clarifications, exclusions, and compliance for each project.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate their insights into the proposal.
- Organize and prepare all necessary documents for tender submissions.
- Assist in cost and pricing calculations, ensuring alignment with tender requirements.
- Guarantee that tender submissions adhere to deadlines and comply with guidelines.
- Maintain thorough records of tender activities, communications, and documentation.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified as an architect or engineer with a solid grasp of architectural principles and project management.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience or understanding of architectural tendering processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and practices in architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and communicate with various stakeholders under tight deadlines.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and InDesign.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering.
