Job Overview

The People Strategy Consultant will collaborate closely with the Human Resources team and leadership to facilitate the achievement of pivotal goals within the framework of the workforce agenda. By partnering with the organization, the People Strategy Consultant will merge a comprehensive understanding of the business environment with HR expertise to customize solutions and devise impactful strategies that address organizational requirements, both present and future.

This role will deliver commercially viable and practical solutions for all employment-related issues, ensuring that workforce plans and initiatives are consistently integrated while coaching managers to cultivate positive relationships with staff.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively as a key member of management teams, influencing the creation and execution of the workforce strategy to support the overall business goals.
  • Manage relationships and expectations to provide proactive, commercially sound insights and adaptable solutions to tackle HR challenges across the organization.
  • Guide and mentor managers through various employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance issues.
  • Support the successful execution of change management initiatives, including significant acquisitions and organizational transformation projects, while minimizing employee relations impacts.
  • Understand and implement the company's compensation philosophy; oversee compensation reviews and benchmarking activities for the designated business area.
  • Contribute to the development of Policies and Processes to ensure HR practices are fully compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Design and deliver Management Information (MI), analyze results to identify trends that inform HR initiatives, and present findings to senior management.
  • Oversee recruitment within the business area, ensuring an exceptional end-to-end recruitment and onboarding experience for new hires. Collaborate with Finance to monitor and manage headcount budgets.
  • Assist the HR Operations team in achieving performance objectives and delivering a commercial, customer-focused approach across all departmental activities.
  • Contribute to building a high-performance culture that reinforces organizational values and behaviors, supported by robust performance management capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law and experience in resolving complex personnel issues.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory framework affecting financial services and/or professional services.
  • Strong commercial acumen to assess risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet established personal and team objectives.
  • Resilient, approachable, and confident demeanor.
  • Possesses gravitas and can easily build credibility.
  • Highly articulate with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Effective influencing skills, adaptable to various audiences.
