Position Overview

Are you seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in patient care?

Consider becoming a vital member of the Patient Experience Team as a Patient Relations Specialist.

In this role, you will collaborate within our comprehensive Quality Department to ensure that patient complaints and inquiries are thoroughly investigated and addressed within established timelines. You will assist senior staff and various departments to facilitate prompt and high-quality investigations and responses on behalf of the organization’s leadership. Additionally, you will provide daily support and guidance to all personnel involved in the management of complaints and investigations.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Evaluating incidents and complaints received, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Maintaining electronic records for incidents, complaints, and commendations.
  • Coordinating and/or leading investigations into incidents and serious matters.
  • Composing responses to complaints.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Performing general administrative tasks.
  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, capable of producing well-typed documents, letters, reports, and email correspondence.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with the NHS Complaints procedure is essential.
  • Support the Complaints Coordinator and the broader team by ensuring accurate data is logged promptly.
