We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Level Costing Accountant to join our team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and producing accurate Patient Level Costing information, providing robust financial data to the Head of Costing.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the regular production of internal patient level costing information for the Trust and in the annual production and submission of the National Cost Collection to NHS England.
- Have lead responsibility for the accurate collation of all activity for all of the datasets required for the costing process, both for internal and external reporting.
- Take an active role in improving data quality, investigating issues and taking corrective action to ensure data accuracy.
- Provide comprehensive financial/activity based analysis of Group/Specialty Service Line financial positions to the Head of Costing.
- Lead on service development in the role's own specialist areas, proposing changes to procedures and policies operated within the Costing Department.
