Senior Ecological Consultant
We are seeking a Senior Ecological Consultant to join a prominent, multi-disciplinary firm. In this role, you will oversee and direct a range of ecological initiatives, offering expert insights on environmental evaluations and biodiversity plans.

This position provides the chance to engage in significant projects across various industries, including infrastructure, development, and conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Direct and manage ecological evaluations, habitat assessments, and impact analyses for diverse projects.
  • Field Operations: Conduct and supervise field investigations, including protected species assessments, habitat evaluations, and ecological monitoring.
  • Report Preparation: Draft comprehensive ecological documentation, impact evaluations, and mitigation plans.
  • Client Engagement: Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients, providing expert consultation on ecological matters.
  • Team Development: Guide and mentor junior ecologists, promoting a collaborative and innovative team atmosphere.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, planning policies, and environmental standards.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Background in ecological consultancy or a related sector.
  • Qualifications: Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field. A master's degree or PhD is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in ecological survey methodologies, data interpretation, and report composition. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ecological Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK wildlife legislation, planning regulations, and best practices in ecological stewardship.
  • Professional Attitude: Detail-oriented, proactive, and dedicated to delivering high-quality outcomes with a positive impact.
