Job Description:

We are currently assisting our client, a leading international design firm, in finding their next Senior Ecologist to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting ecological assessments, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and protected species surveys, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Collaborating with various disciplines in the design process to provide expert ecological advice and ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.
  • Preparing technical reports for projects and managing sub-consultants to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Assisting in the development of fee proposals, marketing materials, and ecological requirements within tenders to secure new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in conducting BNG calculations and reporting, with a strong understanding of UK environmental policy and legislation.
  • Proficiency in QGIS and other relevant software, with strong botanical identification skills.
  • Formal qualifications in Ecology, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality ecological services.
  • Membership of CIEEM, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
