We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at Royal HaskoningDHV. As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological services to our clients across a range of development projects.

About the Role

As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for leading and delivering protected species surveys, providing ecological assessment and advice, and preparing ecological reports. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions to meet their ecological requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver protected species surveys and provide ecological assessment and advice
  • Prepare ecological reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Surveys Reports
  • Provide ecological assessment and advice as a technical expert through all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of development on the environment
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions
Requirements
  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience working on a range of development projects
  • Extensive ecological understanding and knowledge of relevant UK wildlife legislation, planning policies, and licensing regulations
  • Excellent communication and technical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
