Debt Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our team at RSM UK.

**Job Purpose:**

To assist Partners and portfolio holders in the prompt collection of the firm's debts, processing accounting data efficiently, and ensuring that internal and external clients receive a quality service in all respects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients to facilitate settlement of outstanding bills in line with terms of business.
  • Manage and resolve client queries through to conclusion, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with Partners, portfolio holders, and other stakeholders to agree actions and responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date debtor's ledger on a daily basis.
  • Prepare and issue monthly statements and reminder letters to clients.
  • Ensure accurate classification of clients within the practice management system.
  • Conduct monthly debtor provisioning in line with policy.
  • Optimize cash management by maximizing collections, arranging refunds, transferring, and reallocating funds.
  • Ensure timely and accurate notation of the monthly client Stop list.
  • Support the preparation of month-end tasks and delivery of reports.
  • Contribute to specific projects within Credit Control and NFO as directed.

**Requirements:**

  • A good general standard of education.
  • Previous experience working within a Credit Control department.
  • Professional and articulate, reliable, and motivated individual.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the organization.
  • Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Methodical, organized, and accurate with ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
