About the Role

The Church of England is seeking a highly organized and administrative professional to join our team as an Administrative Support Coordinator. This role will provide critical support to the Bishops' Office, ensuring the smooth operation of our central support service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide a wide range of administrative support to the Bishops' Office, including acting as a point of contact for enquiries, representing the Bishop and his staff, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Meeting Coordination: Attend meetings to take minutes and ensure that all necessary actions are followed up.
  • Correspondence and Mailings: Deal with correspondence, maintain financial records, and organize mailings as required.
  • Diary Management: Assist the Senior Chaplain in overseeing the Bishops' diaries and ensuring that all appointments and meetings are scheduled and managed efficiently.
  • Permission to Officiate: Assist with managing Permission to Officiate applications and associated administrative tasks.
  • General Administration: Provide general administrative support to the team, including dealing with correspondence, maintaining records, and performing other tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Administrative Experience: Proven ability to work effectively in a busy office environment with excellent administrative skills.
  • IT Skills: Good IT skills, including use of Microsoft Outlook and Office programmes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
