The Trauma and Orthopaedics Division is seeking a motivated individual to serve as an Orthopaedic Administrative Coordinator, primarily supporting a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon. This role involves close collaboration with management, medical professionals, the waiting list team, and fellow administrative staff.
This position is part-time and offers flexible hours from Monday to Friday, with shifts available between 8am and 6pm.
Key Responsibilities
The Orthopaedic Administrative Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering a precise and thorough service by managing the Consultant's schedule, performing clinic typing, overseeing patient journeys through their clinical pathways, and updating the Patient Administration System (PAS)/Medway system, for which training will be provided. You will also be expected to assist other specialties within the Division during periods of high demand, depending on departmental priorities.
We are looking for candidates who excel in an office setting and enjoy problem-solving while supporting Orthopaedic Clinicians. A sincere commitment to providing exceptional patient care is essential. Previous experience in an office environment is preferred, and we welcome applicants eager to begin their careers within the NHS.
