The Healthcare Administrative Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective patient administration.

Key Responsibilities

The Healthcare Administrative Coordinator:

  • Aids and collaborates with medical secretaries to deliver a streamlined medical administrative service for the clinical team.
  • Supports medical secretaries in meeting performance targets, including quality improvement initiatives and validation processes.
  • Assists the Elective Access Clerk in providing administrative support to patients, ensuring compliance with both national and local access standards.
  • Provides coverage for colleagues during their absence to maintain consistent service delivery.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient typing and/or word processing skills.
  • Experience in audio typing.
  • Minimum GCSE English Grade C or equivalent.
  • Text word processing and audio skills to RSA II or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Four GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent.
  • Business Administration NVQ II or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential Skills

  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
