Role Responsibilities:
- Assess risks accurately in line with the underwriting guidelines established in the Underwriting Procedures Manual.
- Adhere strictly to the Underwriting Procedures Manual and all associated processes.
- Maintain high service levels for Members and brokers, ensuring prompt and precise issuance of documentation.
- Foster and sustain relationships with Members and Brokers to enhance portfolio retention and development.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities beneficial to the Association.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate business performance within the portfolio, addressing areas of concern as needed.
- Ensure all outstanding premiums are settled prior to binding renewals in collaboration with the finance team.
- Approve and oversee the accurate issuance of blue cards.
- Share knowledge and insights across the Underwriting team.
- Engage in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
- Conduct sanctions screening on Members, named parties, and all vessels.
- Complete a minimum of 15 hours of Continuous Professional Development annually.
Required Experience:
- Prior experience in an Underwriting role, preferably within Yachts or Yacht broking.
- Strong negotiation skills and a service-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated experience in business development and broker/underwriter collaboration.
- Analytical capabilities with excellent report writing skills.
