Underwriter Role

Citynet Underwriting Services is a leading Lloyd's broker specialising in commercial business underwriting. We are seeking an experienced underwriter to join our team in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance policies, ensuring technical compliance and maintaining delegated authority.
  • Prepare and provide quotations to broker partners, instigating regular dialogue to secure renewal instructions and achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Oversee administrative duties, including policy documentation, surveys, mid-term adjustments, and claims monitoring.
  • Build strong relationships with delegated authorities and supporting brokers.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer contact and deliver high-quality service.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in underwriting, with a proven understanding of commercial business underwriting.
  • Good technical knowledge of commercial business, including commercial combined and property classes.
  • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Irish market and underwriting guidelines.
