Job Title: Assistant Accountant Service Charge

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Accountant (Service Charge - Commercial) to join our thriving property team at Page Personnel Finance. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks, including maintaining financial records, managing invoices, and providing administrative support.

About the Role

This is a fully office-based role based in Weybridge, Surrey. However, there is scope for some home working once you are established.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and maintaining service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with RICS regulations
  • Prepare and review service charge budgets
  • Producing client statements and any additional reports required
  • VAT reporting
  • Collaborate with property management team to resolve accounts queries
  • Liaise with external accountants on production of year-end accounts where necessary
Requirements
  • A strong educational background in accounting or finance
  • MUST HAVE - COMMERCIAL SERVICE CHARGE experience / Commercial Property Management Accounts
  • 'RICS' (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) knowledge is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the property industry
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • An understanding of relevant industry regulations
