Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Full-Time Screening Pathway Coordinator to become a vital member of the Administration and Telephone Support team.

The selected individual will collaborate closely with the helpline team to ensure the effective execution of the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme across the region. This role entails providing crucial administrative assistance to facilitate the smooth functioning of the call, recall, and failsafe operations associated with the programme.

This position is dynamic and multifaceted, necessitating the capability to engage with a diverse array of stakeholders, manage various tasks, and adhere to tight deadlines. The ability to organize, prioritize, and strategize your workload is essential for achieving set objectives. Team collaboration is critical, alongside exceptional communication skills and a meticulous approach to entering participant pathway information and data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Screening Pathway Coordinator to validate lists and reports, supporting the establishment of a robust failsafe system for screening pathway processes.
  • Examine and investigate patient demographic and management records.
  • Update patient management records in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct essential failsafe checks.
  • Engage with various staff members, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to appropriately update management pathways.
  • Organize clinics and schedule patient appointments.
  • Manage the distribution of screening invitations.
  • Address appointment modifications and general inquiries via telephone from patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for screening clinics.
  • Disseminate result information to patients, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Process and update failsafe reports.
  • Handle undelivered mail and update demographic information as needed.
  • Manage the mailing and franking of correspondence.
  • Maintain organized filing systems.

Proficiency in the Welsh language is preferred for this position; however, applications from both English and Welsh speakers are welcomed.
