Screening Pathway Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking two full-time Welsh-speaking Screening Pathway Administrators to join our Administration/Telephone Helpline Team at Public Health Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Screening Pathway Coordinator to validate lists and reports, ensuring the introduction of a robust failsafe system for screening pathway processes.
- Review and investigate patient demographic and patient management records.
- Update patient management records in line with agreed standard operating policies and procedures.
- Process key failsafe checks and liaise with DESW staff, GPs, and other health professionals to update management pathways.
- Set up clinics, appoint patients to clinics, and process invitations for screening.
- Deal with appointment changes and general queries over the telephone from patients, members of the public, and other health professionals.
- Prepare clinic paperwork for screening clinics and issue result information to patients, GPs, and other health professionals.
- Process and update failsafe reports, undelivered returned mail, and demographic details.
- Auto-mail and frank mail, and maintain accurate filing systems.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 GCSEs, with administration work experience and a willingness to work towards an NVQ level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Care.
- Previous administrative experience, telephone call handling, and customer care experience.
- Good level of interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise work and use own initiative.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain concentration while dealing with constant interruption.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- European Computer Driving Licence qualification.
- Welsh language skills.
- Experience of working in a health service environment.
- Knowledge of screening programmes.
Essential Requirements
- Ability to speak Welsh.
- Willingness to travel to other screening locations if required by the service.
