Position Summary:

IRIS Software Group is on the lookout for a proactive and strategic Senior Finance Manager to enhance our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) division. This role is pivotal in serving as the senior finance ally to the Managed Services segment, delivering comprehensive financial guidance to the Senior Leadership Team. The Managed Services area encompasses a variety of offerings, including outsourced payroll solutions, offshore assistance, and specialized advisory services. This segment has experienced substantial growth, both organically and through acquisitions, and we foresee this trend continuing.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Deliver timely insights and analyses to the Managed Services leadership to support their financial objectives.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of critical financial documents (actuals, forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans). Ensure key assumptions and trends are well understood by stakeholders.
  • Integration of Acquisitions: Assist in the consolidation and assimilation of acquisitions within the Managed Services framework. Support leaders in realizing post-acquisition value and enhancing EBITDA.
  • KPI Management: Monitor and manage performance against established KPIs, recommending corrective measures as necessary.
  • Mentorship: Serve as a leader within the finance team, guiding junior members in their professional development.
  • Special Projects: Participate in various ad hoc projects to support the broader Payroll & HR division as needed.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders, providing financial insights to facilitate informed decision-making. Actively participate in Managed Services SLT meetings, presenting relevant financial data and highlighting significant trends and issues.
  • Guide the Managed Services Finance Business Partner to ensure financial models are accurate and well-maintained.
  • Oversee the monthly reporting, annual budgeting, and Long-Term Planning processes, ensuring timely deliverables and alignment with Commercial, Product, and Operational initiatives.
  • Ensure business partners comprehend their financial obligations and monitor their progress. Provide strategies for managing risks and opportunities to optimize financial performance.
  • Challenge the Managed Services SLT as necessary to enhance financial outcomes.
  • Analyze monthly results against forecasts and budgets, providing key variance insights to Finance and Operational SLTs.
  • Ensure robust financial controls are established and functioning across Managed Services.
  • Collaborate with the broader finance team to develop comprehensive insights on product portfolio performance (e.g., new sales, upsell, attrition, and associated costs).
  • Utilize various systems and the Datawarehouse to enhance management information that supports business decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for value creation and potential cost savings. Assist with ad-hoc projects and analyses to support strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate the integration of acquisitions into standard reporting practices.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Credentials: CIMA (or equivalent) with several years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in business partnering with senior executives, preferably in managed services, recurring revenue, or payroll sectors.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong capability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, effective in engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership Qualities: Proven ability to lead projects and initiatives to successful completion.
