Sustainable Building Physics Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Building Physics Engineer with a focus on Mechanical Services, dedicated to advancing the decarbonisation of buildings within the built environment.
Role Responsibilities: In this role, you will be part of an Engineering Consultancy that offers diverse services, including Energy & Building Performance Assessments, Mechanical & Electrical Design, and Project Management.
Key Duties:
- Conduct surveys of commercial properties, providing strategic advice on achieving carbon neutrality across property portfolios.
- Prepare detailed reports on building and energy performance.
- Engage in data analysis and financial modelling.
- Develop Mechanical Services Designs and oversee decarbonisation initiatives, including the installation of renewable technologies such as Solar PV and energy-efficient lighting.
Work Environment: You will operate from a designated office and client locations, collaborating with real estate stakeholders to design and manage retrofit projects while implementing effective decarbonisation strategies.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess experience in Mechanical Services Design and a keen interest in sustainable practices within the built environment.
Professional Development: We are committed to your ongoing training, which may include conducting Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificates up to Level 5, performing ESOS Assessments, utilizing hydraulic software, and preparing GHG Emission reports. Support will also be provided to achieve Chartered Engineering status.
Compensation and Benefits: The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £75,000 (dependent on experience), along with 25 days of annual leave, flexible working arrangements, and a pension plan.
