Position Overview: We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Early Help Coordinator within our Children’s Social Services, specifically for the Children’s MASH Team at Ackerman Pierce Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
As a case-holding lead professional, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments to accurately evaluate risks, make informed decisions, and develop high-quality intervention strategies aimed at enhancing the well-being of children and young individuals.
It is essential to ensure that the child or young person remains at the forefront of all professional planning, assessments, and interventions. You will actively seek the perspectives and preferences of the child and/or family to inform and tailor the necessary level of support.
You will serve as the primary contact for a designated group of educational institutions or settings, offering Early Help guidance, support, and professional insight on a variety of matters.
Commitment to Inclusivity: Apply principles of anti-discriminatory practice to identify and address the potential negative impacts of racism, homophobia, and discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, disability, class, culture, language, or religion, ensuring that all children and young people are treated with the utmost dignity and respect.
Professional Development: Work under the supervision of the team manager or assistant team manager, engaging in reflective case supervision to enhance your practice, seek guidance on complex cases, build personal resilience, and promote ongoing professional growth.
Service Excellence: Deliver high-quality services, share and implement best practice principles, and foster a positive learning environment within the service area with enthusiasm and dedication, while supporting and mentoring colleagues as needed.
Maintain a high standard of work in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficient in completing written assessments and plans, making evidence-based and outcome-focused decisions through proactive risk management within established guidelines.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering direct interventions that lead to improved outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
- Solid understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance, including the Children Act, Equality Act, Human Rights, and Data Protection.
- Experience and knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection protocols.
- A comprehensive understanding of Early Help Services.
Additional Information: An Enhanced DBS/CRB check will be required (we can assist with this process).
