Position Overview

The role of Broker is essential in supporting the operational functions of the Director of Children's Services and the Director of Adult Social Services. This position is responsible for facilitating Care and Support services in various capacities, including ensuring the procurement of high-quality, cost-effective services for individuals, managing Direct Payments, and providing purchasing assistance to operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Broker will collaborate closely with operational colleagues and Commissioners to ensure that brokering tasks are executed efficiently and within required timelines. Responsibilities include:

  • Processing payments for care services for both adults and children.
  • Overseeing the procurement of care services for adults and care items for children.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, solution-oriented, and possess strong relationship-building skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
