Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver - Food Delivery to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Unload Products: Safely transport and unload food and food-related products to customers, ensuring that all products are delivered in good condition and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Communicate with Customers and Vendors: Interact with customers and vendors in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all questions and concerns are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform Safety Checks: Conduct regular safety checks on tractor/truck and trailer to ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and meets company safety standards.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Complete all required paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries, including hours of service and fuel consumption.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all deliveries are made on time and that all customers are satisfied with their products.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL-A: Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • High School Diploma/GED: Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift and move products of varying size and weight, and be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Have 1+ years of experience in the foodservice distribution industry, and be familiar with onboard computer and electronic log system experience.
