Position Overview
SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPY TEAM LEADER (Band 8a) Part-Time (up to 15 hours per week)
The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to announce an opening for a part-time Band 8a Senior Physiotherapy Team Leader. This role has emerged as a result of our commitment to enhancing patient care through innovative service models and the growth of our Orthopaedic Elective Hub.
We seek a dedicated professional who is enthusiastic about advancing their field and is committed to enhancing the experiences and outcomes for our patients, as well as supporting the exceptional therapists within our department.
The Integrated Therapy Department encompasses Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy, alongside a collaborative agreement for Speech and Language Therapy with our local Community Trust. Patient care is organized through specialized teams focusing on Acute Medicine, Orthopaedics, Cardio-Respiratory, Surgery, Stroke, Early Intervention/Emergency Floor, Frailty Assessment Unit/Older People's Medicine, and Pelvic Health. We are actively working together to implement the Ageing Well and Hospital Discharge Policy as part of the Integrated Care System across the region.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the existing Physiotherapy Team Leader, Occupational Therapy Leads, and the Integrated Therapies Clinical Lead to oversee a range of specialty areas and elevate the profile of Therapies within the Trust, continuing our vision for growth and development.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust clinical background and preferably have experience in managing therapy teams within an acute environment, or have been engaged in service enhancement, project execution, or other leadership roles, with comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in multidisciplinary team settings.
About Our Organization
Our Trust fosters a vibrant research and development culture, and the Integrated Therapy Department has a strong track record of successful service improvement initiatives at both team and departmental levels, along with an excellent reputation for student education and mentorship.
If you are interested in joining a Trust that prioritizes excellence in healthcare, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
