Job SummaryWe are seeking a strategic healthcare leader to drive the strategic direction of the Division and provide effective leadership to our nursing and Allied Health Professionals (AHP) workforce. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to improve patient outcomes and experience.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and influence excellence in patient care and professional practice
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient outcomes and experience
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve our strategic ambitions
- Provide visible leadership to the nursing and AHP workforce
- Drive the development of nursing care responsive to the evidence base, national and local policy, and good practice guidelines
- Relevant degree in healthcare-related subject
- Master's degree in healthcare-related subject or demonstrable ability to work at master's degree level
- Professional management qualification (NVQ level 4) or working towards postgraduate level or equivalent recent senior management experience
- Significant knowledge and understanding of nursing operations and professional issues in an acute Trust
- Comprehensive understanding of change management approaches and experience of leading change programs
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and facilitate complex data or information
- Extensive experience in a senior nurse leadership role
- Evidence of achieving quality and performance achievements at a team level
- Experience of monitoring and managing poor performance of quality indicators and implementation of successful improvement plans
- Demonstrated experience of the NHS strategic agenda and understanding of current issues in nursing policy and practice
