Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of decontamination technicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and productivity.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve departmental performance and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with senior management to ensure the department's goals and objectives are aligned with the Trust's overall strategy.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance
    • Ensure that all decontamination processes and procedures are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 13485:2016.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure the department's quality management system is effective and efficient.
    • Identify and implement corrective actions to address any quality or compliance issues.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Decontamination Department, including the management of resources and personnel.
    • Develop and implement effective workflows and processes to ensure the efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training and development opportunities to decontamination technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Identify and address any training needs or gaps within the department.
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement training programs that meet the department's needs.
    Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who possesses the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • Qualifications
    • Four GCSEs grade D or above, including maths and English, or equivalent.
    • Previous experience within decontamination services of supervising teams.
  • Knowledge and Experience
    • Previous experience within decontamination services of supervising teams.
    • Previous supervision and training of new or junior staff.
    • Knowledge and previous application of quality systems within decontamination.
